Caring for Your Glow
Follow these tips to help your tan develop beautifully and last as long as possible.
RIGHT AFTER YOUR TAN
• Wear loose, dark clothing and avoid anything tight.
• Stay dry until your first rinse: no sweating, working out, swimming or doing dishes.
• Avoid rain and humidity if you can.
• Need to wash your hands? Wash only your palms.
YOUR FIRST RINSE
• Your rinse time depends on your solution (rapid or regular). You'll get a text reminder from Sunsette letting you know exactly when to rinse.
• Use lukewarm water only. No soap, scrubbing or shampoo for this first rinse.
• The water may look brown. That's just the cosmetic bronzer rinsing off, not your tan.
• Gently pat dry with a dark towel.
MAKING IT LAST (7–10 DAYS)
• Moisturize every morning and night with an oil-free lotion.
• Take short, lukewarm showers. Skip long hot baths, hot tubs and saunas.
• Avoid exfoliating, loofahs, retinol and AHA/BHA products while your tan lasts.
• Always pat dry, never rub.
• Shave gently with a fresh razor and shaving gel.
• Chlorine and salt water fade tans faster, so rinse off right after swimming.
WHEN IT STARTS TO FADE
• Gently exfoliate around day 7–10 to even out fading before your next tan.
