BEAUTY & INK

FAUX FRECKLE TATTOO

Faux freckle tattoos are a form of cosmetic tattooing, they are usually done with permanent makeup pigments rather than traditional body tattoo inks.

Cosmetic pigments are formulated with components that our immune system gradually metabolizes, which means that our bodies can break them down bit by bit until they completely fade away.

For most clients, freckle tattoos last between 1 and 3 years, but the pace of fading depends on many individual factors like your skin type, immune system, lifestyle, etc.

Faux freckles are done by opening up the skin either with a PMU machine or a handheld needle and then implementing pigments into the punctures.

And, just like with other cosmetic or traditional tattoos, these tiny wounds require healing.

PROCESS: All Freckle results are custom designed, placed, and color mixed per client based on each persons facial features and preferences.

It is a collaborative process. Clients are welcome to bring any inspo pics to be taken into consideration or you can opt for Amie’s creative freedom and expertise ✨

When you arrive your skin will be prepped and we will discuss what your goals are. Amie will do a hyper-realistic pre-draw for your approval before the tattoo procedure begins.

The tattoo portion of the procedure can take anywhere from 30min - 1.5 hours depending on the coverage booked.

Amie will ask for your feedback if you are wanting to make any adjustments before your appointment is complete.

At the end of your appointment Amie will discuss in depth the aftercare and healing process. Active healing is 5-7 Days. Your skin takes 6-8 weeks for your skin to fully heal and results to fully settle.

AFTERCARE: Immediately after your procedure, your freckles will be draining lymph fluid for the first few hours. If this hardens, scabs will form. Therefore, sterile saline wipes will be provided for you to blot every 30 min - 1 hour, for up to 3 hours post procedure. Starting that night, cleanse morning and night with a gentle cleanser such as Cetaphil. Apply a thin layer of any gentle, oil free - fragrance free moisturizer or aquaphor as needed. Aftercare instructions may be modified by Amie post-procedure to meet your specific needs. Recommended Cleansers/Moisturizers: Cetaphil  (https://amzn.to/4jlCYR0) CeraVe (https://amzn.to/4axiRv5) La Roche Posay (https://amzn.to/3PU3zad) Baby Castile Soap (diluted) (https://amzn.to/42qoauf) Cetaphil Moisturizer (https://amzn.to/4gaiIPu) Aquaphor (https://amzn.to/3PNnUOI) To Avoid for 5-7 Days: - Any makeup, non-aftercare approved skincare, or SPF directly on tattooed freckles. -Working out / excessive sweating -No steam, sauna, hot showers that can ‘open’ pores -Direct sunlight/tanning (including tanning beds) Forever Care: (For optimal long term results) -Continue to moisturize your freckles regularly. -Always protect from the sun using safe SPF 30 or higher and wearing hats/sunglasses as needed. -AVOID any laser treatment on or near your freckles. This can change the color to bright red, green, or even black. -Use of active skincare ingredients will fade freckles more rapidly and more frequent touchups will be expected.
